A dark fibrous product of sphagnum moss and other organic materials. This product is created in peat bogs over thousands of years. Peat moss is a great medium for growing in: clean, sterile, retains moisture, readily available (Canada has the 2nd largest reserves in the world), acidic, and does not compact. Great for soil amendment, hydroponic growing, seed starting or growing acid-loving plants such as blueberries, azaleas, tomatoes.
